Impacted crop is big and hard, where a sour crop is big and puffy, and may have a bad smell from the beak. Crop impaction can occur with eating long strands of grass that gets stuck, or from eating a large piece of food that won't go through. Sour crop can happen after a long period of impacted crop and can be fungal or bacterial. Both of these are best treated by giving a lot of water and massaging the crop, and no whole grains, but only mushy food like wet mash, yogurt, applesauce, and eggs. Thank you that was really helpful. It seems that he does have an impacted crop. He's drinking water so I hope that helps
