Hi all,
I'm new to the site & to being a chicken momma. I've had my chickens for 4 months, I got them as chicks. My rooster, Kickstand, had a problem with one of his legs when he was new but with some extra love he was nursed back to health! Yesterday and today he won't stand or walk. He eats very little if we push it and drinks even less. His poop looks normal. He is in the house for now. I don't know what to do! I don't want him to be in pain, someone PLEASE help!

Second: it sounds like Marek's Disease.

Is the leg swollen...?
Is it possible someone jumped on him...?
4 aspirin to a gallon can be used for pain for only 3 days...
got any poly vi sol without iron or nutri drench....

I'd use a dropper and give him water, even if he doesn't want it...
you don't want him to get dehydrated....

hopefully someone will come along with more info for you....

He drank a little bit more last night but only if we hold him steady & almost force it. I don't see any swelling, and no other chicken is acting odd.

Update: (super late) he is so much better. He walks around and is normal like all of the other chickens. He went on a camping trip with us, so he didn't get more hurt while we were gone. He was better after about a week. So happy he is!
