My scovie...Need help on if its a hen or drake!

Hey guys, here is my scovie....it was born last August...need help deciding what it is. I am 98% positive its a hen, but want others opinions as I don't have a comparison. It does make a cooing type noise all the time. Here it is! The red on its face doesn't connect, its seperate from the eyes to the nares.

It could be a girl, the face looks very female to me, but my issue though is that it's 7 months (right?) old and hasn't laid a egg yet to give you proof? All of my girls, from three separate sources, started laying at about 5 months. But I do live in sunny SoCal ... so that might be a big factor.

haha... you got same prob as me.. I cant tell what mine is, too young for face changes... Aghhhhh I called ducky Meloney! there might be a boy called meloney just yet lol ...... I think you duck looks girly too

Ravenstorm) Your right, about sunny CA that is! We just had all our snow melt, and were under feet of it a few weeks ago!! (Hence the muckiness of their pen!) The khakis are older than her, and JUST started laying for me like...3 days ago.

I think it's a hen too...but I am wanting to pick up a drake for her but am kinda hesitant not knowing 100% yet....I just wish she'd pop out an egg! lol.

Shes probably waiting for the weather to warm a bit. My muscovey girls just started to lay well 2 of them anyway. so it might just be a bit early for her. but she does look like a female.
