I have been waiting and waiting for my Serama hen to start laying and just happened to notice her inside the little coup area today. So after she left I checked and found out she has been laying after all. She was just being sneaky and hiding [IMG] the e g g s for herself see, she has six.

Congratulation!!! Are the eggs furtile? I see you're from Ocala. I live in Dunnellon.

I think I am going to let her hatch them since she took so much care in hiding them from me. [IMG]

I believe the eggs are fertile. She is with a little Serama rooster. I bought them as a pair. So I guess I will wait and see. Oh, and I have been to Dunnellon several times. It's pretty.

Update! She has ten eggs and is broody. Very seldom does she leave the nest. So now we wait.

The eggs are hatching! She has two chicks that I saw. [IMG][IMG] I will post some pictures as soon as I can. We calculated that thier hatch date was 4/25 (19 days). So I guess we weren't that far off.
