I have a Serama that hatched out 4 babies about 10 days ago. She had some eggs left under her because the other ones kept laying in her nest. So I put them in the incubator. Well, one hatched yesterday morning. I put it in a little make shift brooder under a heat lamp, but I put it next to her enclosure. I noticed that she wouldn't leave the side of her enclosure and she kept talking to the chick and vice/versa. So I took a chance and put the little one in with her, but kept a watchfull eye. She is being fantastic with it and treats it just like the others. Though it's a lot smaller(10 days makes a big difference). 'She' is the smallest one in the pic. I've got some more eggs in the bator and I'm hoping a few more hatch out. Wonder what the chances of her taking further hatchlings are? Hopefully we'll see.
