My Short Photo Story from yesterday "South Louisiana"

    2 of 8 Cattle Egrets chase bugs alone side a pound

    that holds water for the growth of grass, trees and wildlife

    [​IMG]


    and the old rope swing my brother and I hung years back in a place we, and a few friends spent many summer days swinging into the pound

    heres a freshly rebuilt beaver lodge, that I've visited year after year for the past 10 plus years that i can remember, the smell here is so sweet but so strong it turns up your nose

    a peak in side
    [​IMG]
    [​IMG]


    and a turtle that sits bravely alone as the other 5-6 fall into the water

    and back on the bank a old fallen tree that i could of brought you to 10 years ago, slowly being eaten away by weather, under the tree was a large circle of fresh tracks, that hold proof of a mother fox and her kits played the night be for

    over 100 yards from the beavers lodge the trail they used for years to come from the river to the pound

    and from far away a few wood ducks swim across the pound

    now back to the truck and home...
