My silkie hen is chest bumping me..

My silkie hen that has been laying for the last few months has started chest bumping me this last week? Whats her deal? Haha is this normal. She usual find right to me and never acts this way. She still follows me all over thr property but if I stop walking she will run up and start throwing herself at me and pulling on my pants. None of our other chickens have ever acted like that. Any idea?

It sounds like she’s just a real mamas girl and wants your attention. I have a leghorn that will peck at my boots and turn in circles in front of me (like a dog about to lay down) and then kind of back up into me as if to say “pick me up!!” When I do she settles into my chest and falls asleep!
do you normally give treats? She also may be looking for food... they are very similar to dogs as in they learn your habits and then try and push you into feeding them.
