    Not.

The other night she was hungry. So she was rooting around in the fridge looking for something to eat.
    "Can I have pudding?"
    "No."
    "Can I have some cheesesticks?"
"You can have some leftover dinner."
    "Can I have-"
"Is it something other than dinner?"
    "Yes."
    "No."
She kept looking around anyway, and I went back to reading.

"OH!! Can I make some lettuce out of this?"
I looked up, and she was holding a plastic bag of Romaine lettuce. [IMG]
    "Shelby?"
    "Yeah?"
"Do you know what you just said?"
    "......... What?"
"You just asked if you could make lettuce out of lettuce."
    "Oh."

For the longest time my daughter thought that salad was called lettuce. I have no idea why. She used the word lettuce when she meant the whole salad..... Granted she figured it out when she was like - 8? maybe. How old is your sister?
