My sittin silkie in winter?

    My silkie went broodie. will she be ok in winter? She is outside the coop, in an big great dane sized travle crate. Will she be ok? I live in jacksonville n.c we maby get snow 2 times. But it dose get cold enough to freeze water. [​IMG] [​IMG]

    well one if your chickens get cold you might want to hook up a heat lamp where the nests are in the winter. two, she'll abandon the eggs if she doesnt think she wants to hatch them. theyre much smarter than we give them credit for.
