My six chickens would rather roost on a stick all night in the rain than go inside their house and be dry. What should I do?

Move the stick they are roosting on into their coop. Then lock them in there for at least a week.

Sometimes chickens need help learning new things.

i just looked at your coop. does it even have a roost inside?

If you look at my page you will see my set up. I guess I will have to do away with the roost sticks. There is no room for them to roost in their house.

i say put a roost in there. even if it is 4 inchs off the floor.

if that doesn't work try painting the coop a different color. that lime green might be freaking them out. i know it does me.

I would try and stick some sort of perch in the coop, even if it's barely off the floor. I couldn't tell from the pictures but if there are more than 2 nesting boxes you could make some more room by getting rid of extras. Two should be plenty. Lucikly you're not trying to get backdoorchicken to roost in your coop so I wouldn't worry about repainting it. If you like it, keep it!
