I don't know why, God has a plan I'm certain but we have almost lost our 18month old son twice now in just 5 months! Mommy Can't take much more, I'm having anxiety like mad!!! In June he went into Anaphylatic shock and we almost lost him, now last night he chocked on a small piece of his dinner and stopped breathing, my husband dislodged it from his airway but it was jammed in his esophogus--- so we had to be taken by ambulance to one hospital then again transported to another hospital an hour and half away so he could be seen by a pediatric ENT specialist. He had surgery this morning and he is fine now, like nothing ever happened, still drowsy and moody but ok nonetheless. I need prayers, b/c I'm just, I can't even think of a word for how I feel. Grateful he has survided two near death episodes, freaked out, streesed, devestated, all in one... [IMG]

Oh my!!!!! No wonder you have anxiety. I can only imagine the stress that you have obviously been through over the past 18 months! And last night would have been so very stressful and exhausting for your whole family. I have my fingers crossed for your son's future wellbeing [IMG] Let's hope that he is getting all this hiccups out of his system nice and early in life, when you are there to protect him [IMG]

I am so sorry that you are going through this. My thoughts and hopes are coming your way. Parenting is an endless seesaw of worry-joy-worry-joy and on and on. Every single time I think, well this is going to go just fine - blammo - something happens to make me worry again.

Try to find the joy and it'll make the worry worth it.

    All the best,
    Lynn

When I was his age, I drank rust remover, sat backwards into a fireplace, and fell out of a moving car. All this happened in the space of a week and a half. The fireplace had a nice fire going it too.

I guess my point is, I am now over 50. So even though scary things happen to your baby he can and most likely will survive to become an old man. I have lost a child, but I knew that she was going to die before she was born. She lived long enough for me to be okay in the end. It is scary to a parent of a fragile child, but both you and your DH are very aware, and seem to know when to get your little guy help asap.

anyways here are a few more [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] one for each of you guys.
