My kids love our chickens too. I think it's wonderful when kids get the chance to grow up with animals.I think it helps children appriciate and respect them more and it gives them some practice at being responsible. I wish every child could grow up with an animal.

Oh how precious. I have a similar picture of my daughter that I went (I believe it was Kodak) online and had it blown up to poster size. I framed it and hung it in the house. I think it cost $ 19 or so. I just loved the pic so much. Here it is.

Get him some silkies he can keep in the house. hehehe That is what Cheyenne wants but I have not found any locally yet.

That was our Light Brahma Lilly...she passed away last November to cardiac failure. She had a heart infection from birth but had 9 wonderful spoiled months. This is her all grown up, supervising the building of the new coop.

She learned how to growl from our little ChiChi so she would grrrrr at you when she wanted your attention or talked to her. LOL we miss her a lot.
