After lunch at a local hangout my son walked over to the swapmeet and came upon some kids trying to sell a little chicken they had in a shoe box. They were shaking the box and enjoying the frantic sounds from inside. My son took the box, gave the $1.00 and suggested they vanish quickly. They did.
It's cute, small, black, half the size of my 8 babies, but it has 5 toes! Fluffy legs kind of too? Look familiar to anyone?

It's a very calm little bird especially considering it's being rattled around. I put it in with the others and it looks so tiny compared to them but they get along great. It kind of rocks back on it's legs and sits, a little upright though.

Your dear son saved that poor little thing from further abuse. I could hug him. [IMG]
I'm not sure what the little munchkin is, other than a cutie pie who is probably feeling better already in kind hands.

Good for him. I'm glad he stood up for the poor little thing. $1 what a bargain. [IMG]
