If you can't find any, why don't you breed your own. Thats what I did. Kevin said my tom is a good one. I actually like my sweetgrass better than Porters Sweetgrass. You can compare your self here. My sweetgrass have alot more metalic green and red colors. Porters sweetgrass is more a dull black.

That would make a Red Bronze. There is no red gene or bronze (b+) at all in a Sweetgrass. The Sweetgrass genotype is (b1b1cgcg) Black winged bronze based with Oregon Gray (aka Palm genes).

Its like a Royal Palm without the Naraganzett gene.

Cool looking birds, regardless of how they were bred, but thanks for the recipe. Thanks for sharing the photos OMABIRD

    Quote:Many ways to get there.

I used a BWB Oregon Gray type that was breed from Royal Palms.

I have two types, one that has a Nargie gene and one that does not. I think I have already showed you the pictures. Most of Porters Oregon Gray are bronze based and not BWB based. You need a BWB based Oregon without a Nargie gene. If you cross it on a Palm you will get some Sweetgrass.
