My surprise chick

    Here are some pictures that was thrown in as a freebie from Cackle Hatchery. She is 5 weeks old. I think here comp got pecked off from the orpington. Any ideas what breed that could be?

    Really? I ordered 3 eater hens but they are brownish almost black. Do they come in so many colors?

    They are basically a mutt breed, so they come in many color combinations.

    False. Hatchery Easter Eggers aren't mutts. They just haven't been bred toward any sort of breed standard.

    Some people consider them a mutt, I do because they can come in any color or they might not have those cute beards. Mine is going to be brown without a beard but she is so sweet I love her.
