    I've had him since a hatchling, he will be 1 yr old on June 10. He loves my chickens eggs! Hope y'all enjoy the video.

    That is so cool! I would just die if I accidentally ran across a lizard that big in my yard though! heart attack city! How big is he?

    Wow! [​IMG] That is one big lizard.. And to think I scream when a gecko catch me off guard in the kitchen [​IMG] Holy smokes!

    He has never bitten me, nor tail whipped, he is quite tame. Lizards and snakes use their tongues to smell their prey. They have an organ in the roof of the mouth called the jacobsen's organ that allows them to detect air particles, but they must be brought in contact with the organ via the tongue. http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-the-jacobsons-organ.htm
