My thread got featured! (Question included)

Hi everyone!

I'm really excited because this is the first time one of my threads got featured!
But, I have a question about it. Well, two questions:

1. How long will it stay featured?
2. How did it come to get featured?

Usually about 7 days.

We use a lot of factors to point us to articles to review for being featured, but at the end of the day it's just at the discretion of our team to choose.

@sumi may have some thoughts too

I don't know either. They used a photo of mine on an unrelated featured thread last week about aggressive roosters vs ideal rooster breeds. It showed my leghorn hen with my bantam cochin cockerel, which didn't really fit the title. I think they do these things on a whim.
BTW, that thread was featured at least 2 weeks.
