I have 9 ee. According to one person light face = roo. Well I'm screwed cuz most of mine have light faces. I know its early...just humor me. Hoot - cuz it looks like an owl. Roo? Pullet? Here are some updated pics. I'm selling them and need to know their sex. I want to keep two hens and a roo. Group shots...

It's still too early too tell, unfortunately. It is true that male EE chicks tend to be very light and faded in patterning at first, but at this stage its kind of a free-for-all.

I can tell you that the first chick is highly likely to be female. Nice dark markings, wild pattern feathers coming in, low stance, etc.

Just for comparison... These are my 3 EE's when they were babies. Two if them had light faces and all 3 turned out to be female
