My two hens are laying! (Pics)

On Christmas day my mom gifted me a bright red egg basket. Two days later my hen Fred gifted me her first egg! Then a few days later her sister, Freddy, started laying.


Here they are (Freddy on the left and Fred on the right) when I got them from our local livestock auction. The chick in the middle turned out to be a rooster. I'm not sure what breed these hens are. Any ideas?

Going out to the coop and getting their eggs each afternoon is very rewarding. I can't wait for the rest of the hens to start laying too.

They are very pretty - and getting eggs is great! I wonder if they're sex-links maybe? What color are their legs?

They look like easter egger chickens to me.

The blue plumage is truly stunning! I'd guess you have EE's or Ameraucanas.
