Looks who's got chicken fever!
That pretty much happens to me also. I wanted them, the wife enjoys them.
Somehow I think I'm gonna get poo duty no matter how much she likes um....
Buff Orp and barred rock? Just a guess - both great breeds for anybody, but we wimmin particularly like 'em.
It is hard to resist baby chicks! Now beware of chicken math! I have 3 more chicks and my other 3 will be a year old in April. So now I have 2 barred rocks, 1 rhode island red, 1 welsummer and 2 ameracaunas. My co-workers teased me about being a farmer, but when I brought in very large, fresh eggs of different shades of brown, guess who became Ms. Popular? So funny! The chickens are entertaining and relaxing and refreshing all by themselves, but then to get such wonderful gifts from them every day is even better! One of the nurses I work with has since got her own chickens... Love it!
