Mystery batch, can they be roommates?

Hi everyone, I’m brand new to chicken raising. I got three chicks from my dads coworkers backyard chickens (they have 8 egg laying hens and one rooster). No clue about the breed nor gender (I don’t think they know either). The only information I got is that they hatched on 8/25, so about 2.5 weeks old now. Can any chicken experts out there give me some idea on what breed and gender they might be. Just got them a chicken coop, in the process of assembling it. I hope they can be good roommates but saw some pushing and bumping in the brooder already… if there is more than one rooster, can I still keep them together in the coop?

2 roosters and 1 hen is a recipe for disaster, that poor hen would be bred bare. Best to start planning ahead on what you want to do if you end up with any (or all) boys.

Way too early to sex them. As far as breed, if the coworker doesn't know what breeds they have, these would most likely be some sort of backyard mutts.

Thank you for your reply. I don’t have a plan for extra roosters yet. Should have brought the sexed ones from a store… :(
