So, I have just hatched 7 mystery chicks mixed in with 3 pure bred Lavender Orpingtons (10 chicks total). For fun, I am trying to figure out the breed of each chick and would love any input folks feel like offering (or feel free to just enjoy watching me struggle :) :pop).

I have pictures of the chicks and the eggs they came from. All mystery chicks had an Ameraucana father, the options for mother include: Ameraucana, French Copper Maran, Cream Legbar, Buff Orpingtons, Polish, Red Star, Australorps, Easter Egger, or Olive Egger (yes, I know these last two are mixed breeds...). There is also a slim chance of a parent that is something else as the lady I got the eggs from has already added a couple extra hen options to the original list as she remembers them...

So, without further ado, meet chicks A-L (minus G and J which were eggs that proved to be infertile). Each gets their own post because this is a lot of photos...

I'm honestly stumped on this one, none of the breeds she listed have chicks that look like this (at least on the Meyer Hatchery chick ID page). Would welcome ideas!

The eggs for Brenn and Lu look similar and so do the chicks. They look kind of like Maran eggs, but less so than Frida and Henri's eggs, not to mention these chicks look nothing like Frida and Henri... They look rather like Lavender Orpingtons but the eggs were the wrong color and I'm pretty sure I already found my 3 LOs. So, I'm also stumped on this one.

I"m stumped on this one! The most identification I can give to you is that the classification is adorable fluffball.

The lady who gave me the eggs says the white ones are all from her Polish hens which would make this a Polish x Ameraucana cross. Interestingly, the other white egg was Koh who looks completely different (all black)...

None of the other breeds you listed lay white eggs, so it has to be an americauna x polish cross. Doesn't really resemble a polish at all though.
