Was in the feather foot bantam bin. Straight run. Trying to guess breed and gender.
Month old yesterday but so slow to feather in!
Our 2 others are almost completely feathered in!

Hahaha so I’m right on the cockerel part at least! I’ve said cockerel from day one and my husband wouldn’t believe me . This one is so standoffish it’s gotta be a roo.

i looked at the dark Brahma chicks but it doesn’t seem to match what this one looked like as a day old attaching a few more “younger” ones in case it helps.

I would say cockerel based off of comb and wattles, but the pattern says pullet. A cockerel would have black feathering, instead of patterned. I might be wrong though since I've only ever raised one and it was pullet, or it could be less clear if they are hatchery stock.

The pattern says cockerel all the way. Females would be pencilled. Chick down still looks like a Dark Brahma. Here's male versus female patterns shown with my Silver Pencilled Rocks

I agree because my silver duckwing oegb looked super similar to this ones feathering !

Ok updating with more pictures at 7 weeks old- will continue to update!
Today he did the chirp to alert friends of food- furthering my arguement to my husband that it’s a rooster lol
