Mystery chicken

    My sister has 3 chickens, 2 are pictured. Any idea on the breed of the one in front? I know the other is an EE thanks!

    Most likely a buff Orpington if her legs are white.

    Can they be lighter colored like that?

    The lighter one seems to be a buff orpington and the darker one seems to be a rooster or possibly a Brahma but or Americana The tufts on the side of the face are unclear' It could be a young Marans as well, The color is one that I have found in crossing a Black tailed Red with a black.

    Yes they can(not necessarily show quality). But she also might be a mix breed(buff rock/orpington/some sort of american rock breeds in?)

    The one in the back is definitely an Easter egger I had one that looked exactly like it. Brahmas have feathered feet and are bigger chickens so that isn't it.

    Yeah my initial thought was a mix breed Orpington
