Here are the same chicks at 5 days and three weeks. Any guesses? yellow legs, grey eyes, good size comb. They were in a random breed, straight run bin at tractor supply. I managed to pick all the same type but I can't figure out what they are... I also think they are rather large for three wks? Any help????

They look like maybe some meat bird cross, and they all look like roosters.

Yeah, roos for sure. . . . and they are huge. 3 weeks and one is a pound already. Are there any yellow meat birds?

They could be red broiler as they are called. Feather color will change a bit as they mature.

Although after looking at their on line selection it could be what they call a rainbow chicken.

I tried to find a list of breeds offered at TSC.com and didn't have any luck. Rainbow sounds like a good descriptor they are a wacky batch of colors. Thankx, I'll check that out. They are certainly are growing similar to rockX birds.

I think the red broilers are pretty much yellow chicks. These had a chestnut/grayish down. Looking at TSC Rainbow Chicken as suggested by OLDHENLIKESDOGS, I think we have solved this mystery. They are pretty cool looking and (the Rainbow Chicken) appears to be a breed, not a cross. eFowl.com calls them dual purpose. Supposed to hit 5 pounds in 12 weeks. I'll update when I process them. Thank you!!!!
These forums are d'bomb thanks to you good people!
