In my recent shipment of chicks from Ideal i got 7 packing peanuts, 4 white leghorns (i'm pretty sure) and 3 mystery chicks. The two here are the ones i'm really curious about, the third is only a mystery because his feathers are coming in buff. What do you guys think??

Brahma maybe? The one with black on the wings. Look at the size of the legs! Beautiful babies.

How many chicks did you order? I ordered 28 and I don't want extra roos I'm too soft hearted.

Quote:We only ordered 12, so i was expecting the peanuts... One of the pullets had to be culled though because she was deformed. It was way too sad [IMG]

With 28 i doubt you'll get any extras... so that's good [IMG]

the one with the red saddle looks like a male red sex-link to me. The males should have more white or all white on them when born.
