Hi,

I recently bought some Ancona chicks from a reputable supplier and have found these two chicks developing more slowly than the others. They are also darker grey/ black.

Oh my Goodness! Those are the cutest little guys! Especially the one in the middle.

Their color is either barred or cuckoo, but I don't know what breed. However, if they're anything like Barred Rocks, the darker one is a pullet and the lighter one is a cockerel.

They're something barred - barred rock, marans, black sex-link males, dominiques...

Thankyou for your help. They have turned out to be Barred Plymouth Rocks. So well done to those that posted along this line of thought.
