    I have a couple of mixed breed chicks that I want identified. Can anyone help?[​IMG]

    it's hard to say what it is if it's mixed. personally it looks pretty wheaten to me

    The first one looks like a barred rock or a mix, maybe a sex-link. It's not a dominique because dominiques have rose combs, not single combs. It's definitel a cockerel though. The second one also looks like a mix, and also a cockerel. The third one looks like a black copper marans pullet except that it has yellow bottoms of the feet and no feathered legs. Could be mixed with a marans, or something else altogether

    I don't think that there were any Marans. I wish there were though.

    The chickens I know that are possible parents are RIRs, Americana, Spanish bantam?, a striped bird, ( which I thought was a dominique because they're small, but they don't have rose combs), and a bantam that I have no clue about that is black and white. ( I can't get a pic, because it's not my bird)

    Nope, all chicks have clean legs. If you were thinking silkie, I know that there are no silkies.

    Do faverolles have to have feathered feet? Maybe the Americana rooster is actually faverolle?
