New to the forum and I am glad I found this. Very cool.
I had 6 chickens all around 4 months of age. Yesterday I went out to feed and only counted 5. I started looking around and noticed a couple of feathers caught on a couple of pieces of the wire fencing on the door of the run (approx. 7 feet tall). I then started searching around and found a few more feathers and eventually, about 50 yards in the woods, I found the dead chicken. The head and neck and a little of the body was gone. Everything else was left intact. I took extra measured today to make sure this doesnt happen to the remaining 5 chickens. What do you think did this? It had to have climbed over got the chicken from the coop, dragged it back up the side of the run and then consumed what it did.
