Mystery Death

    We live in a small town - around 2500 people.. we had 7 seven chickens. There are rabbits and squirrels, and skunks around - sometimes the occasional ground hog, this morning when I woke up three of my chickens were dead - the other four were walking around. Feathers are strewn on the ground but I can't see any visible injuries to the chickens. I am at a complete loss. What could have done this? They are fenced in - their is a small area where the squirrels get in to grab some chicken food but that is it. A hawk? A really small stray dog? Would a feral cat do this? My first thought was fox.. but I have never seen a fox in town. Any ideas or possibilities as to what could have done this. One chicken did have it's neck broken.. I felt that. Not a happy day:(
