She could have very well gotten it from us but I’m not clear on how it’s transferred. They don’t interact with my outside hens, and they live inside in a clean brooder.
My new concern is, she lives in a brooder with two other chicks, 6 weeks old, that came from a real hatchery, (they were introduced to the EE when I suspected it was just a vitamin deficiency) and they have been vaccinated for Mareks, etc. but I’ve read the Mareks vaccine isn’t a formidable defense against the disease. So to not risk my adult hens to possible exposure, do I cull and start over?
I don’t want to have to, but my older girls are more precious to me than the chicks.
Thanks for the help.
