Mystery of the missing kittens

Ok so, I had 6 cats inside, 4 kittens and 2 adults. Well I come home today and it’s just a mess. Cat 1, Waverlee, ram out on the back porch and attacked our dogs. She has never once even hissed at them. Cat 2, Ivy, hissed and swatted at Waverlee and wouldn’t come out from underneath the couch. Her and Waverlee didn’t have beef before and now they do. Cat 3, smudge, is the only kitten we can find and is a bit scared. Cat 4,5, and 6, are missing. What happened?

My guess is that they are hiding. Cats can squeeze into very small space. You probably won't find them until they decide it is safe and come out

Just found the kittens. Now I’m trying to figure out what scared them so badly that they hid for an hour...

You may never know but whatever it was, from your description it upset the whole household.
