    hello!

Can anyone help identify this animal scat? I found some outside my chicken enclosure in the early morning last week. One of my lavender plants had also been trampled a bit. Now I've found a dropping inside my chicken enclosure this morning. The enclosure fence is only about 5' tall and could be scaled by a critter. Trying to understand what I'm up against and if it's a threat to be hens! I live in the subarbs of Northern California wine country by the way.

    Thanks!

But I've found the exact same dropping outside my chicken enclosure where my hens have never been. My plant nearby was also trampled

5ft. fence can also be scaled by a chicken.

It's chicken poo. Either your hens got out and back in, or some other chicken visited.
