    my brother traded me this hen for a barred rock hen but he thought it was a rooster....lol anyone know what breed this is[​IMG][​IMG][​IMG][​IMG]and this is her roomate he was sold to me as an australorp[​IMG][​IMG]
    together the two of them just blessed my family with these little fluffy penguins[​IMG][​IMG][​IMG]

    She looks like a hatchery-quality Golden Laced Wyandotte or GLW cross.

    I'm totally guessing here but it looks like a GLW cross... and from the looks of her comb it looks like the other half could be Leghorn. [​IMG]

    Doubt it is a GLW cross - Looks to me like a brown leghorn cross. The black tipping and gold coloring is VERY reminiscant of the wild-type duckwing and BBR coloring, just with a little bit of something else.

    GLW crosses would be solid black and gold, with the black either blotching the feathers or tipping them.

    I have three GLWs from Cackle, one with a rose comb, two with single combs. The two with single combs have really big combs that flop to one side a little, much like hers. I do think she's a GLW crossed with - ?
