Wish I knew about you when I lived in Florida, only a short 2 plus years there . You are a fountain of knowledge and common sense together with practicality. Would have been a plus to get to know you personally.
You are too kind. I'm actually a complete @$$, and best in small quantity. The wife and I just moved back to FL about 3 years ago - and are pretty private individuals.

I feed mine store bought feed in their feeder(50lb bag lasts ne around 2.5 weeks with 23 chicken, 1 turkey, and 2 ducks) but I also let them out to forage for several hours during the week and all day on weekends. The feed is there for supplements I've also feed them leftover from our table as their breakfast every morning. Most chickens if not all will eat greens. Mine LOVE. Endive! Try giving them assorted veggies then grow what they will eat if you can.
