neat story!!!!!!

    this man i got my silkies from has f1 golden red pheasants straight from CHINA!!!
    This man had gotten 100 hatching eggs and only 9 hatched with 7 of them males. how lucky is that for getting them staight from china
    he is a lucky man:)

    Have to side with AHappychick, how were the eggs brought here? It is my understanding that most of the western world has stopped importing directly from Asia (thank you media-fed bird-flu hype). I'm also a natural skeptic!!

    If this is true, they would not be F1, but rather wild caught. An F1 would be the generation produced by these birds. The F scale is thrown around WAY too often, mostly to increase the $$$. If you really want to know if someone has something legit, the US Govt offers import records though the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). Easy enough to access to prove the famous F claims and if you are really concerned about conservation aviculture, a great tool in helping to locate legit birds.

    btw I am not judging just curious lol I only ask because the time spent in quarentine is so long I wonder if any will ever hatch after sitting and traveling for 30+ days.

    yeah the highest scale ive seen is f3 goldens and their offspring is 100 a pair so it really doesnt matter on those birds
