Neck injury after impacted crop. Help!!!

Have 8 week old Gambels quail that is re covering from an impaction. This morning I noticed her father's passing weird at back of her neck and found this. No other quail. No predators as she's been in hospital cage. She has been scratching at it a bit. Have kept her isolated and on mash. upped vitamins and garlic etc as antibiotic in her food. What is this???

Stop garlic immediately...it's toxic to birds.
Why/how do you know it was impacted?
Impacted where...crop or butt?

Vitamins and garlic are not an antibiotic.
What exact in vitamins are you using?

I know they aren't antibiotics but garlic in small amounts and for short periods of time are perfectly safe and beneficial as they help with bacteria fungus and parasites.
