Hello. We are new to chicks...have a group of 4 "chicks" that are 2.5 months old. The only problem is the white leghorn started cockadoodle do-ing yesterday :/ We are not in a neighborhood where a rooster is appropriate, nor do we have any desire to have a rooster. Does anyone have suggestions on where I can take it? Also, I'd love to find 1 white leghorn to replace him...it was our only leghorn and my daughter is in love with them. I live in Franklin TN so anywhere nearby (Nashville, Nolensville, Spring Hill etc) would be great! Thanks for any advice.

I'd like to suggest you don't replace with a young white leghorn chick, or you may find yourself with another roo. Maybe you can get a" point of lay pullet" or a laying hen.

Yes! My thoughts exactly. Plus,, I am not excited to go through the brooding baby chicks process again. So far no luck finding a pullet (I have only recently learned what that means!). Any direction welcomed!
