Get my wife to forgive me. You see, several weeks, and a lot fewer chicks ago, I told my wife that I was done with the number of chickens I had. 7 to be exact. Well low and behold, that darn feed store had some that I HAD to have so, now I am up to 15. My enabler son who wanted just a few of his own was no help so now I am up to 18. Driving home from work, had to get those little babies some food, they kinda need that from time to time, and crap 6 more just happen to have hopped in the cart without me seeing them. So long story short, I went from a promised limit of 7 to now 24 chickie babies. Oh also did I forget to mention the 15 I have in the incubator hatching this weekend. so I need a forgive me present for my wife. My "promise" to not get anymore chicks is out of the window so I can't use that anymore. Any help or suggestions would be welcome. Have a great day.

Maybe take her out to a nice dinner? Or spoil her for an evening by doing all the housework and cooking. You could buy her a spa set or something. Never go wrong by rubbing her feet or back!

Diamond necklace with matching earings.

A horse with matching saddle and bridle.

A chicken coop with automatic door opener.

Hot pink Dodge Viper

.....just a few things off the top of my mind

Do her chores for a month.

OR

Give her a pink silkie with a pearl necklace and 5 yes dear cards.
Yes dear cards are for whatever she wants to do that you may not really like(girlie stuff).

Let her pick out some chicks that SHE would want.

If my DH did that, it would help me to hear how happy his hobby makes him, and how much he appreciated my understanding. Also, an admission of the failure to keep his promise, (nothing worse than a denial) and maybe a renegotiation?

glad I don't have to "make up to you" LOL

I can't be that bad, I've been married to the same man for over 30 years-because I NEVER asked for stuff like that. Although I wouldn't mind a new horse with a matching saddle and bridle.......

theoldchick, I'm sure you're not that bad, and horse with saddle sounds more than reasonable. I never ask for anything because, although DH loves me dearly he doesn't often do anything that requires getting back into my good graces. I on the other hand.... whole 'nother story... and I can see with this chicken thing I am gonna be "in the soup" alot!
