anyone have a brand name and model number for an accurate thermometer?
Made a DIY incubator but none of the thermometers I have tried (digital and bulb type) read the same temp. Out of the 4 tried so far I am seeing a 6 degree difference.
Also are the digital humidity gauges from walmart accurate?

Absolutely the Spot Check (also called Egg-Temp, depending on the distributor)

Also a lot of incubators have temperature variations. I have 4 in my incubator, and they read various temps, but some of them I've confirmed with the spot check that I have a hot or cold corner. One is completely wrong on temp, but good for humidity. Then I have the spot check, 2 of the little glass ones that came with the incubator (that I've checked against others and are pretty accurate), and an oral/rectal thermometer in a water wiggler. Between these I feel like I have an okay handle on what's going on in there.
