That appears to be feather loss due to a broody hen's instinct to pluck her breast.
Hi and welcome to BYC - glad that you have joined us. I agree with QM. You may wish to check out the "Hatch-a-long" forum and theres also a "broody hen" thread (I think). - just enter into the search box and they will pop up.

Do you have a rooster? If no, her eggs are infertile and will never hatch. Is she sitting on eggs in the nest box? If you could post a photo we could determine what she is up too.
