need an id asap! please!

    hey guys i live on long island. this little guy was brought to my attention as an "injury" what kind of duck is it so i can treat it properly? ive never seen a wild duck like this where i live.

    not a clue poor girl. I think she's a girl, does that help?

    lol not really. i kind of figure the "dull" coloring and it being wild. lol

    Is there any way you can get a better and clearer picture? Especially of her head. It is hard to tell with the pic you have. I know you don't want to scare her though.

    Is she tame?

    NO not at all! thats the best pic for now. her bill almost looks like a platypus! its flat and kinda bent up.

    i deal with all waterfowl actually. lol. i just need an id. im not sure on these migratory birds. they look like too many species. i know that this is the best place to find people. thanks tho.
