GRAPHIC PICTURES OF AUTOPSIED CHICKEN, NEED HELP DETERMING CAUSE OF DEATH:
Hi folks. Just completed my second ever chicken autopsy. Last night I lost a hen to impacted crop. This morning, I lost another hen. Did her autopsy and was unable to identify cause of death. Noticed red veining on the intestines (coccidiosis?), jelly like fluid in the body cavity, a very pale heart, and tan/pink liver. Pictures attached. Thanks for the help!
Also, worth noting, when I found her, she was still alive, but barely. Liquid, water, I think, was dripping out of her mouth, I thought perhaps she was choking. Checked her crop, felt normal.
