I'm hoping to get lucky and find a Buff Orpington in a bin full of mixed chicks at the feed store... Can anyone help me figure out how to tell them apart from the other small, yellowish chicks out there?

Thanks!

So telling them apart from say, a leghorn - are they a little more buff than yellow, or is that just this photo?
Thanks!

My buff baby was a little more buff (golden color) than my leghorn or delaware... my leghorn was very light yellow/whitish and my delaware was yellow. The BO's had more of a golden color, especially on the wings.

Mine were a lot more of a golden colour, here's a picture:

Remember, pick the smaller ones. You'll be more likely to get hens, also I check their combs some what too. That helped me.

Check for single combs and pinkish feet/legs.
