Need help. Lump in chicken waddle.

Does anyone have an idea on what this could be?

Hmmm! Almost looks like “bumble wattle!” Do you know how long it’s been there? Can you gently pick at it and see if comes off/out? You may want to put ointment on it to soften it (I think soaking a wattle seems too difficult).

I agree. It looks like a "bumble wattle".
It is definitely a new one on me.



Made me giggle a bit because the soaking a wattle. My warped brain pictured two things....
A Dixie cup for the wattle and tiny ice pack for the noggin.

I looked. Pretty tree.

NOTHING like this wattle lump though.
I am thinking it could have been from a tiny poke or injury that got infected.
Very strange.
