I've been practicing candling my chicken eggs, but the ones I really want to hatch are my wild turkeys and wild/bbb crosses. Anyone here have any advice on how to actually see into those thick, speckled monsters? !!!! My wilds and BBB eggs are epicly thick and tough! I don't think my standard light bulb approach is going to be enough to penetrate the shells. Appreciate any ideas or help with this. Thank you - Andy

Go to any of the hatchery's on line.
Get an egg candler. The one I use is $17 shipped from Strombergs and has been in HEAVY use for 15 years on the same bulb too.
It's hard to do it much any other way. It is the very first one listed under their egg candler section. Dont waste your time on the other stuff. This one goes thru all eggs except marans which have a chocolate shell
$17 shipped, cant beat it.
