Hi there. I have never had this happen, but I saw you didn't have any responses, so did a little research, and will TRY to help...but again, not a lot of experience here. It sounds like prolapse..when the lower part of the oviduct protrudes. I found a lot of info on this in layers, not so much on broilers, but it can be attributed to chickens being fat (which is what we want our cornish to be...well, large anyway! [IMG] ). I've seen people suggest pushing it gently back in, and coating the area with honey, other websites recommended a hemorrhoidal cream like Preparation H and it should go back to normal.

Hopefully someone else will have a better answer hun.

    Good luck!

Depending on it's age, I would just process it [IMG] I know it sucks, but if it's a decent enough weight I would just put it down.

Never had one bleed before but mine poop the intestinal lining all the time. This is totally normal but definitely not the blood.

I agree with Connorrm, no sense letting good meat go to waste. [IMG]
