I have no experience with Blue Ameraucana chickens and don't know any "look fors" to tell if it's a pullet or cockerel. This is Nina... but I think she may be "Nino". She is 8 weeks

What do you think? Behavioral wise she squares up with the olive egger chick that is with her fairly often. And I notice a slight tinge of pink in her comb. This picture is actually a couple weeks ago so when I get home I will post an updated picture.

:welcome We will need a more mature, full body picture for an attempt at gender ID. Both cockerels and pullets will hackle flare and mock fight.

These were the best pictures I could get. The black one is my olive egger and I'm positive he is a cockerel. Looking to see about the blue ameraucana

Male feathering don't start showing up until about 12wks, if yours are 8wks ...
I'm guessing the pic of the two are both cockerels & the "blue" pullet. Still abit hard to make out, looking at the comb/wattle ... Size and color.

Those pictures are all from the same chick. Just the one blue is the one I'm questioning. So when you say they are both cockerels you are basing that off of the stance since the feathering doesn't reveal enough info? What about the comb?

In the first 2 pics with 2 birds (brown & black), the combs look red but it could be lighting.
The 3rd (blue & black) & 4th (blue) pic, blue looks to be a pullet as the comb is pink.

Yes I'm going by the combs & wattles coloring at 8wks

Must be the lighting because they are all of the same 2 birds. No brown bird. The "brown" is really the blue.
