Cleaned two chicks butts today and noticed that one of them appears to have part of its intestines hanging out. Other chicks are peeking at it. Chick is crying. Don't want to lose her. Pls advise.

Can you get a picture? It sounds like a prolapsed vent.

Yes, a pic would help. And keep her separate from the other chicks before they injure her.

How much of it is hanging out? Can you describe it?

It is below her vent. Think its roughnavel. Was bleeding earlier. Redish orange in color. Has vein_like things on it. pls help dont want to lose her. We had to help her hatch. Internal membrane was stuck to her. Had trouble with incubator temp. Lost two chicks. They didnt hatch. She is active and eating/drinking.

Is this by her navel? Not her butt? Is there no way you can post a pic?? How long has it been like this? Did you pull at the internal membrane that was attached to her navel when you helped her hatch? Sorry about all the questions, I'm just trying to figure out what's going on here.
