Im going to get baby chickens but what breed i want good egg layers and good meat.... I was thinking about buff orgphington.... any suggestions.? Thank you

Im vegetarian but I do enjoy having Isa Brown hens. Theyre great egg layers, my family and friends love them. They always give me an egg a day per hen. 99% of the time
As far as good meat, I have no idea

Buff orpingtons are good, leg horns are pretty good, Barred rocks are good egg layers not sure about meat

If you want eggs AND meat, then Buff Orphingtons will fit the bill. They are a great dual purpose bird, as are the RIR and a few other breeds out there. Leghorns are great egg layers - the record holders - but not very meaty. I've not eaten any of mine, though. They are my egg producers and pets for now.
